BISA celebrates Rabindra Jayanti every year to honor the birth anniversary of the great poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore. This event is a celebration of Bengali culture, literature, and music, and it is attended by people from all walks of life. BISA organizes cultural programs, music performances, and recitations of Tagore’s works to promote the teachings of Tagore and raise awareness about the rich cultural heritage of Bengal. Through our Rabindra Jayanti celebration, we aim to promote the importance of cultural diversity and inspire people to appreciate the rich legacy of Bengali literature and arts.
Dol Utsab
BISA celebrates Dol Utsav, also known as Holi, every year to mark the beginning of spring and to celebrate the triumph of good over evil. The festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy, and people from all communities participate in it. BISA organizes cultural programs, music performances, and distributes sweets and colors to the children from slum areas to ensure that everyone can enjoy the festivities. Through our Dol Utsav celebration, we aim to promote communal harmony, bring people together, and spread joy and happiness in the community.
World Environment Day
BISA also celebrates World Environment Day as part of our commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection. We organize various awareness campaigns, workshops, and plantation drives to promote responsible behavior towards nature and create a greener future for generations to come. Independence Day
BISA celebrates Independence Day every year on August 15th to commemorate India’s independence from British colonial rule in 1947. The day is celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. BISA organizes flag hoisting ceremonies, cultural programs, speeches, and other activities to promote patriotism and unity among the people. Through our Independence Day celebration, we aim to inspire people to uphold the values of freedom, democracy, and national unity and work towards the development of the nation.
National Youth Day
BISA celebrates National Youth Day every year on January 12th to honor the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The day is celebrated to inspire the youth and encourage them to take up the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, such as self-discipline, social responsibility, and spiritual growth. BISA organizes cultural programs, speeches, and discussions on the teachings of Swami Vivekananda to inspire the youth to take up his ideals and contribute to the development of the community. Through our National Youth Day celebration, we aim to inspire and empower the youth and encourage them to become responsible citizens who can bring positive changes to society.
